AR 6100eSpektrum RX January 31, 2008
Reviewer: Rslph Stutes from Granbury, TX United States
I have been flying the AR 6100e for about 3 weeks now.  I ordered the DX7 system with the 6100e, and this may be as much about the whole DX-7 system as it is just the 6100e RX.  I fly nearly every day and have had absolutely no glitches whatsoever.  It is really nice to just be able to get to the field, plug in the battery, wait for the system to bind with the TX (takes about 2 seconds), wiggle the sticks to check movement, and go fly.  I no longer have to wait for my frequency to become available, go over and put my pin/AMA card on the board, then come back over & get my plane to fly.  I don't know all the specs on the Spektrum system, but I do know it works as advertised.  I generally fly out of my front yard, & my existing FM Futaba seems to work well there.  In a crowded environment, though is where the Spektrum really does its thing.

The Spektrum manual addressses the AR 7000 RX, and the process is different for the AR 6100e.  Once I got the correct instructions, it was easy.
